The islands of the Caribbean are renowned for many things including the number of all inclusive vacation packages you can find there. So far, no definitive reason for the popularity of all inclusive Caribbean vacations has been provided but the facts speak for themselves! One theory suggests it is part of a plan to attract more visitors to the Caribbean; however, there really isn't any basis for this belief.

The most plausible explanation is the fact that for many people who want to travel to these islands, all inclusive Caribbean vacations packages are very good value for money; this is particularly true against standard room only or fly drive vacations. Each particular type of vacation caters to a different need since some people may have needs in a specific area that other travelers may not have. For example for people with relatives, their vacation needs are easily met; there is no reason to book anything but the flight as they will have accommodation and meals already arranged with their family.

In all likelihood, the people going to the islands will book an all inclusive Caribbean vacation to make the trip less expensive than arranging it in any other way. Because the tour operators book large numbers of vacations, this is quite likely less expensive than if you tried to book your flight, accommodation and food independently. Those travelers who have spent their lives devoted to arranging everything themselves would not agree to a vacation organized this way. Even after many years of all inclusive vacations, many travelers are still unsure exactly what is included in a vacation like this.

Room costs will always been included in every rate quoted for a vacation, but that's the only constant between every package. Although food is included in this type of vacation, it is not necessarily in others; with other vacations, it may only be the breakfast that the guests are supplied. Surprisingly, there are still a number of people that believe that a full board vacation is the same as an all inclusive one.

A full board package will include breakfast lunch and supper, but not drinks, whilst an all inclusive Caribbean vacation package will include meals and drinks. It is not unusual to find that special arrangements have been made with other hotels and restaurants; these are generally available at extra charge (even if they are discounted). Most all inclusive Caribbean vacations will however, normally include all these as part of the package; often included are restaurants outside of the hotel complex which means you can make more of your vacation without dipping into your pocket constantly.
